At Yogvan participants are initiated into Traditional Yoga. Traditional Yoga is actually a combination of Hatha Yoga (Asanas, Pranayama, Kriyas) and Raja Yoga (Mediation, Attitude , Personality , Emotions) .The 2500 year old Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra’s are weaved into the physical dynamics of Hatha Yoga.
The class is a mix of Asana’s, Pranayams, Meditation & Self Awareness. Asanas are used to tone the body, increase flexibility, correct body postures, strengthen muscles and aid in correcting physical ailments & injuries. Pranayams are done at the end of the class to increase health and vitality, purification, to build immunity and ensure that your body gets the right dose of oxygen. Meditation at the end of the class is to quieten the mind, increase alertness and gradually bring in a level of awareness that helps inculcate the right attitude and shape a holistic personality.
Monday – Wednesday – Friday: 7.30 – 8.30 am / Saturday: 7.30 – 9am
The Yoga class on Saturday (Weekend Yoga) is also open to people who could like to walk in just once a week.
It is a 1.5 hour session which helps rejuvenate the body, reduce stress, clear the mind and set you up for the week ahead.
